Generator controller (without paralleling)

Our generator controllers range (without paralleling) provides essential, cost-effective control solutions for single generator installations. These controllers are engineered and manufactured to operate a single generator independently, without synchronization or load sharing with other sources, whether in backup mode with a grid connection or in isolated (island) installations. These modules are ideal for ensuring operational reliability, simple integration, and fast deployment.

Designed for integrators, OEMs, and engineers, these control systems ocus on core monitoring, protection, and start/stop functions. Built with precision and industrial-grade technology, our power generator controllers support a broad range of configurations, including natural gas  or diesel generator.

A solution that meets power continuity needs

CRE Technology's standalone genset controller solutions help integrators deliver reliable electrical power in critical environments where system shutdown is not an option. In sectors such as healthcare, military, telecommunications, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities, even a brief interruption can result in significant consequences.

When the grid power supply fails, an automatic and efficient response from the generator set is required. Our controllers are developed to meet this demand, enabling a seamless switch to backup sources with minimal intervention. Moreover, the flexibility of our control systems allows adaptation to local requirements, including compliance constraints and varying input voltage variations.

For integrators and manufacturers, ease of commissioning, maintenance, and monitoring are essential. CRE controllers are built to streamline the setup process, ensure consistent performance, and offer remote accessibility for diagnostics and updates. Our commitment to quality, technical service, and a strong user experience ensures your system stays on track from specification to delivery.

Beyond hardware, CRE Technology provides end-to-end support. Our experts conduct pre-feasibility studies and technical audits, assist with system design and integration, and help install generator control systems tailored to each site's purpose and configuration. We partner with integrators from initial planning through commissioning and beyond, ensuring the solution meets your operational requirements. Documentation and direct contact options are available on our website for any technical questions or project support requests.

Key features

Automatic mains failure management (AMF)

Our controllers continuously monitor the utility input and trigger an auto start generator controller routine in case of outage, ensuring that power generation is maintained. They manage the circuit breaker and transfer switch sequences to ensure a safe, efficient return to mains once power is restored, protecting sensitive loads.

Engine monitoring and protection

Comprehensive monitoring of engine parameters—such as oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, active/reactive power  and engine speed—allows real-time fault detection. The controller activates alarms or shutdowns when thresholds are exceeded, preserving equipment integrity.

J1939 ECU Compatibility

All CRE genset controllers are fully compatible with engines fitted with J1939-based engines, ensuring seamless CAN bus integration. This enables access to diagnostic data, alerts, and enhanced control of generator behavior based on ECU values.

Easy and Flexible Programming

Our EasyFlex editor simplifies controller configuration via PC-based software. Customers can tailor alarms, logic, and sequencing with ease—without needing complex code. This reduces deployment time and offers scalable options for advanced applications.

Remote monitoring and control

Supervise, configure and control your controller remotely via a secure interface, wherever you are. This feature simplifies daily operations and improves overall system management.

Clear User Interface

Whether used in a complex or straightforward setting, our intuitive UI enables efficient troubleshooting and simplified daily operation.

Related applications

  • Single genset + mains in change over mode

In this application, the energy source is a single thermal generator associated with a main electrical grid, operating in transfer switch mode. This transfer switch system causes a momentary cut-off at each switchover from one source to the other, ensuring continuity of power supply. This configuration is particularly well-suited to installations where power supply reliability is crucial, enabling switching between sources according to availability or energy requirements, while minimizing service interruptions.

  • Single genset in island mode

In this application, the energy source comes from a single thermal generator, designed to operate autonomously without grid connection. If required, this generator can be equipped with a motorized circuit breaker, enabling automated protection and management of the electrical circuits. Thanks to this configuration, the thermal generator can reliably and continuously provide all the power required by the load, guaranteeing an independent and secure energy solution, ideal for isolated environments or temporary installations where access to the electrical grid is limited or non-existent.
