About the installation

Our partner and distributor DMA Energia commissioned a power plant production unit for a remote site in Argentina. In the Mendoza region, a pumping station required a reliable energy solution to ensure continuous operation of the pumps. The main objective was to minimize dependence on the power grid, avoid exporting energy to it, and guarantee a stable, uninterrupted power supply.

  • Reduce energy consumption from the power grid as much as possible.
  • Prevent energy from being exported to the grid.
  • Provide reliable, uninterrupted power supply, even during critical pumping phases.

Our solution

  • Backup generator : Scania 550 kVA, 400V, 50Hz (DC 13 072 A model engine).
  • Photovoltaic inverters : 2 Growatt 110 kVA inverters, model 100KTL3-X LV.
  • Power grid: A complementary source to offset the variability of renewable energies.
  • Smart, flexible management of energy sources: the control system offers all possible configurations between the three sources (GE+PV, PV+grid, GE+grid, GE+PV+grid), enabling dynamic adaptation to station requirements.
  • Compatibility with a variety of equipment: CRE solutions are designed to to run with a wide variety of equipment, such as the Growatt inverters and Scania generators used in this project.
  • Energy optimization: Zero export to the grid, solar power limitation during peak production, and smart load sharing.
  • « Zero export » management to prevent excess energy from returning to the grid.
  • Automatic limitation of solar output in the event of production peaks.

  • Centralized supervision: The i4Gen touch panel integrates all essential information on a single interface, offering:
  • A single-line diagram of the power plant, including the most important parameters from all the sources.
  • Production curves with a history covering several years.
  • Remote access for real-time monitoring.
  • Simplified commissioning: The EasyCalib and EasyConnect functionalities have saved time during commissioning.
  • 1 x GENSYS Compact Prime (CORE version): Scania generator management.
  • 2 x Hybrid Compact (CORE version): Photovoltaic inverter management.
  • 1 x MASTER Compact 1B (HMI version): Management of paralleling and synchronization with the grid.
  • 1 x i4Gen: Complete supervision of power plant hybrid.

The hybrid solution we implemented perfectly met the critical needs of this off-grid pumping station. Thanks to high-performance products and optimized management of the various energy sources, this installation guarantees a continuous, reliable power supply, while significantly reducing dependence on the grid and the ecological footprint.
