About the installation

The logistics platform of a major retail brand is a strategic site for supplying stores in the Paris region. Our customer, committed to sustainability and ecology, wanted to:

  • Minimize our environmental footprint.
  • Guarantee continuity of supply for essential refrigeration systems in case of mains failure.

The objective was to integrate a hybrid power plant combining a generator and photovoltaic panels for a reliable, sustainable energy solution.

  • Energy optimization and ecological commitment: Significant reduction in grid energy consumption thanks to solar operation, while complying with zero-injection constraints.
  • Continuity of power supply: Ensure constant power supply to refrigeration systems critical to site operation, even in case of prolonged mains failure.

Our solution

To comply with the customer's requirements, we designed and implemented the control system for a hybrid power plant integrating:

  • 1 x backup generator 3,100 kVA.
  • 24 HUAWEI SUN2000-115KTL inverters: 2,560 kWp photovoltaic system without injection into the grid.
  • 1 power grid.

Thanks to our advanced hybrid controllers, we have ensured:

  • Smart synchronization and proactive load sharing (active and reactive power) between generator and photovoltaic inverters.
  • Automatic detection of mains losses and transition to backup generators while maintaining photovoltaic production.
  • 1 x GENSYS COMPACT PRIME: Controls the generator, manages starting and synchronization, and protects against reverse power.
  • 1 x MASTER COMPACT 1B: Supervises the electrical mains, monitoring and synchronizing them.
  • 1 x HYBRID COMPACT: Controls the 24 solar inverters via a proprietary centralizer (the Smart Logger 3000), optimizing photovoltaic production and preventing unnecessary injections into the grid.
  • 1 x AMF COMPACT: Degraded operation, to replace the main controllers in order to manage and start the generator in the case of mains failure on the site.
  • 1 x i4GEN: Supervises the entire system via an intuitive, user-friendly interface.
  • 1 x BK5150 : CANopen bus coupler.
  • 1 x KL9010 : End terminal.
  • 1 x KL1488 : Extension of 8 digital inputs.
  • 1 x KL2408 : Extension of 8 digital outputs.
