Lasting Power Generation: CRE Technology's Reliability Put to the Test in the Desert

Lasting Power Generation, the exclusive distributor of CRE Technology in the United Arab Emirates

Some partnerships begin with a contract. Others are built on the ground, project by project. Our collaboration with Lasting Power Generation clearly falls into the second category.

Based in Al Quoz, in the heart of Dubai, the company is now our exclusive distributor in the United Arab Emirates. It supplies generators, alternators, and control systems to customers across five continents.

1. A company in 2021, with twenty years of experience in the field

LPG was officially founded in 2021. However, its team has been working in the energy sector for nearly twenty years.

Its founder, Hamid Kashani, spent two decades in generator sales, industrial equipment distribution and technical support across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Together with his team, he covered the whole value chain, from project supply for construction, oil & gas and utilities to commissioning and after-sales service. He has also built a long-standing network of customers and manufacturers.

By 2021, the Emirati market lacked a supplier capable of combining reliability, technical expertise, and responsiveness. For their part, manufacturers were seeking exclusive agents willing to make a long-term commitment. Lasting Power Generation was born out of these two needs.

2. Al Quoz: minutes from Jebel Ali, shipping to five continents

The address is no accident. From Al Quoz, Lasting Power is just a few minutes away from the Jebel Ali port , Dubai International Airport, and Dubai World Central.

As a result, the company offers same-day shipping, uses express air freight, and ships its equipment to five continents. For a customer facing an breakdown at a remote site, this delay makes all the difference. Dubai also offers a recognized business environment: reliable contracts, secure transactions, and long-term continuity.

Beyond simply supplying equipment, LPG positions itself as a technical partner. The team remains involved throughout the project’s lifecycle to ensure that every piece of equipment delivered functions exactly as intended.

3. 50 °C, sand, and no technician for miles

This is undoubtedly the most insightful point of this discussion. In the Gulf, a control system faces conditions that are often underestimated from Europe: fifty degrees of ambient heat, permanent sand and dust, salt-laden air along the coast, unstable grids and remote sites with nobody on the ground.

A controller must therefore handle constant heat, resist dust and corrosion, respond quickly to network instabilities, and to run operate without supervision. The hardware must be significantly more robust than is generally imagined.

The mistake LPG corrects most often

Many customers assumethat a controller designed for a temperate climate will work here. In practice, Lasting Power regularly has to correct the specifications. The causes are always the same: equipment that isn’t truly qualified for desert heat, poorly protected against dust, untreated against corrosion, or unable to handle an unstable grid and unmanned operation.

A partnership born in the field, not on paper

The relationship with CRE Technology wasn’t decided in a meeting room. It began naturally, through LPG’s first projects: the team was already using our controllers, observed how they performed in real-world conditions, and received consistently positive customer feedback. The reliability of the products did the rest, and the partnership grew stronger on its own, eventually becoming an exclusive one.

What tips the balance towards CRE

Lasting Power’s catalogue carries several controller brands. Even so, the company steers customers towards CRE whenever a project demands maximum reliability in real-world conditions.

The reasons given are concrete: fewer issues in the field, smoother commissioning, stronger protections, more communication options and faster fault detection. That is why CRE has become their default recommendation on critical projects.

“Made in France”: an argument that carries more weight than before

In a market where copies and grey imports circulate, the origin of the product matters. A controller built in France reassures customers on build quality, service life and certification. Official distributor status, in turn, guarantees a genuine product, correct firmware, a real warranty and local technical support.

In short, authenticity reduces risk and that argument weighs noticeably more today than it did a few years ago.

A hundred installations, and a course set for hybrid

Demand has shifted since 2021. Diesel gensets remain essential, but customers now ask for better monitoring, remote access, faster fault detection and stable operation on weak grids. The move from basic control to connected control is unmistakable.

To date, LPG has equipped about 100 gensets and projects with CRE solutions. Two product families dominate its sales:

  • Battery chargers : they secure the reliability of starting systems on hot and remote sites.
  • The GENSYS 2.0 controller: it manages multi-group applications, with synchronization and load sharing.

LPG’s strategy follows directly from that shift. The company is targeting more specialized, higher-value sectors: synchronization systems, hybrid solar-diesel setups, and advanced control solutions.

From us, it is asking for deeper collaboration on advanced control, hybrid integration and more flexible communication options, areas where CRE Technology is already strong, and precisely where the next chapter of our partnership will be written.

Conclusion

For over 40 years, CRE Technology has been designing and manufacturing solutions for the control, protection, and optimization of power plants, with more than 100,000 controllers installed worldwide. Through Lasting Power Generation, we are strengthening our presence in the Gulf region and making these technologies accessible to a growing number of integrators and end users.

Five years after the founding of Lasting Power Generation, approximately 100 installations attest to the strength of this partnership. And the next chapter is already being written.

Our partnership with CRE Technology is built on reliability and trust: their controllers consistently deliver the performance our region demands. Together, we are committed to bringing smarter, more durable, and more advanced power solutions to the GCC market.
