Gensets: Single and paralleling gensets applications

Objectives

  • How a speed regulator or voltage regulator works
Know the different types of generator applications (Auto start, AMF, generators paralleling, mains paralleling, ...)
  • Understand the differences and interactions between frequency/voltage and active power/reactive power
  • Understand the differences and interactions between droop and isochronous/iso-voltage
  • Understand the differences and interactions between dead bus paralleling and on-line paralleling
  • Know the basic principles of paralleling and protection
  • Configure and operate CRE Technology controllers through their front face, the color touch HMI and the PC software
  • Troubleshoot failures/problems
