Gensets: Single and paralleling gensets applications
This training is not only theoretical, but also practical, thanks to our didactic power plant test and simulation benches.
An optional additional day will enable you to familiarize yourself with the advanced programming and operating tools available for CRE controllers.
Objectives
- How a speed regulator or voltage regulator works
Know the different types of generator applications (Auto start, AMF, generators paralleling, mains paralleling, ...) - Understand the differences and interactions between frequency/voltage and active power/reactive power
- Understand the differences and interactions between droop and isochronous/iso-voltage
- Understand the differences and interactions between dead bus paralleling and on-line paralleling
- Know the basic principles of paralleling and protection
- Configure and operate CRE Technology controllers through their front face, the color touch HMI and the PC software
- Troubleshoot failures/problems
